Green Grab Bag November 2011

Thanksgiving is almost here! My Green Grab Bag was a cornucopia of natural health and beauty products, that I can say I’m thankful for having the opportunity to try them out!
If you are’t subscribed to GGB- check them out at http://greengrabbag.com/
Better Botanicals Clarifying Facial Scrub  -  an exfoliating cleanser
Cocoon Apothecary Rosey Cheeks Face Cream  -  This moisturizer is great for dry, sensitive skin. I love the way it feels, it’s not really heavy and the light rose scent reminds me of my Nana <3
Maris Naturals Body Cream  -  Grapefruit Mimosa scented body lotion. This is a super light-weight, non greasy feeling body, lotion that does a gret job hydrating dry skin.
Dropwise AromaTherapy Mister  -  This mini mister is great! I popped it in my purse, because the scent is super refreshing and it’s a great little pick me up on humid days here in FLorida! It can also be used as a room mister, so DUAL PURPOSE, which is always a plus… I’ve even misted my pillow before bedtime. This is on my wish list to purchase! ;)
Dr. Alkaitis Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil  -  I haven’t really heard of this product, maybe I’ve been hiding under a rock? It’s an organic treatment oil that nourishes and heals dry and damaged skin. I’ve put it to the test and used it on the bottoms of my feet for a few days now, they’re looking pretty and smooth!
Ferro Mineral Makeup  eye candy in 24 Carats  -  I love the shimmer of this pale gold eye color. Doesn’t have much staying power on it’s own, so use an eye shadow base or primer for best results! This color is also pretty as a liner, gives eyes an extra brightness.

BirchBox Welcome 2011

I wanted to share a post about my first BirchBox box I received. Back in October 2011 began my obsession with these monthly subscription boxes/kits whatever you want to classify them- THIS was the first, the one that started my obsession with watching the mailman with a hawk eye every day.

BirchBox is a monthly subscription service that sends 4-6 deluxe samples to your home for just $10 (shipping included) and sometimes there’s even a full sized product! If you decide to try them out please use my referral link: http://www.birchbox.com?raf=i7x7z #mce_temp_url#

SO here’s a preview of what you could get if you sign up for the ever popular BirchBox… and my review of the product!

Welcome to BirchBox:

Befine -lip serum- This lip product is allergen and fragrance free and is paraben free. I got the chamomile & beet serum and is colorless and flavorless. I use this at night, keeps my dry lips hydrated through the night (between the AC and heater that runs continuously) all in all I like this product.

blinc -mascara- I was excited to try this product out. It’s a tubing mascara which is a new thing for me. I have naturally fully dark lashes and usually use a waterproof mascara from Dior. So here’s what I think about blinc. Pros: It is super light-weight. I mean I feel like nothing is on my lashes. It looks really natural on, and washes off very easily. Cons: I tend to touch my lashes a lot (didn’t realize it until I wore this product…) and I ended up playing with the tubes. To me it seemed to pull away from the lashes… could be because wear contacts and used eye-drops when i was also wearing the mascara. I now wear this product only when I’m wearing my glasses!

Pangea Organics -Japanese Matcha Tea Facial Mask- The package says it’s for all skin types and does everything (deep cleanse, detox, exfoliate, tone, hydrate, stimulate collagen, prevent wrinkles, nourish, protect and balance), from what I can tell after using this mask my skin felt really great, smooth and hydrated!

Orofluido -Beauty Elixir- This is a product is for your hair. Let me first say that I opened the bottle and LOVED the scent, very light hint of vanilla and I was happy happy happy! Then I tried the product… LOVE IT!! It made my hair shiny and silky and it didn’t feel sticky or gunky or oily or heavy like other hair oil products have. This is something that I’ll actually be purchasing once I run out!

Tea Forte -minteas- Got a cute tin of mints in the lime mojito flavor (nonalcoholic of course) and everyone in my family likes them. With a hint of citrus and a hint of mint, they’re all natural, sugar free and made with organic tea. I would definitely buy these cute leaf shaped mints (they come in cocoa mate, ginger pear, lemongrass yuzu, matcha chai, and lime mojito).

So I was extremely excited with my first “Welcome” BirchBox and am looking forward to what will be heading my way next!!

Welcome

Hi there, welcome to BOXACROSS.

For now BOXACROSS will be a blog that reviews the MANY different box/kit subscription services available in the US.

There are so many different companies out there that are offering monthly services; sending a box to your doorstep (for a nominal fee) for you -the consumer- to preview and try out. They send sample in hopes of bringing you new products on the market. And for the merchant/vendor, well, it’s a way to showcase their wares and goods to new potential clients and customers.

It’s a win win!

With so many subscriptions to choose from, it’s hard to track down an honest opinion on all the different services - all in one place.

Until now…

That place is here!
